Tackling critical environmental challenges using AI
A three-month program for AI-focused startups, research teams, and non-profits across Asia Pacific (APAC) that are tackling environmental challenges. If you’re exploring how to leverage frontier AI to tackle the world’s most urgent environmental challenges, we want to hear from you.
Our mission is to use frontier AI to tackle the world’s most critical environmental challenges. We do this by accelerating the impact of high-potential early-stage projects – giving them the resources to move from prompt to problem-solving.
We’ll select 10–15 organizations to join this accelerator program.
Each participant will get access to the Google AI stack (including specialized frontier models) and tailored support from our experts for three months. This is a unique opportunity that will help participants navigate technical complexities – and scale the next generation of solutions for our planet.
Graduating teams will become part of the extensive Google Accelerator Alumni network, a global community of more than 2,000 startups and non-profits.
Participants will join a week-long in-person bootcamp, where they’ll meet Google mentors who will help guide their progress. They’ll define their project remits and goals through keynotes, workshops, and diagnostic sessions.
After the bootcamp, participants receive tailored virtual support for three months, guided by a dedicated relationship manager. That includes one-on-one mentorship and deep-dive technical guidance from Google and industry experts.
The program culminates in an in-person Demo Day, providing a platform for teams to present their AI-driven impact to an ecosystem of industry partners, investors, and global stakeholders.
We’re looking for APAC-headquartered startups, research teams, and non-profit organizations dedicated to solving critical environmental challenges with AI.
Here’s what we look for in applicants.
Your project should focus on nature, climate, agriculture, sustainability, or energy. We are particularly interested in initiatives centered on AI-enabled nature protection, sustainable agriculture, and forest protection, but not limited to – read more here.
You need to have a functional prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP). We’ll be looking for early validation and proven traction.
Artificial intelligence must be the core driver of your current solution – or at the centre of your future technical roadmap.
You’ll need to demonstrate clear potential for your project to integrate Google AI. Either using general models like Gemini and Gemma, or specialized models like AlphaEarth, Forestry or Perch.
We’ll need to see evidence that you have an established in-house technical team with deep expertise in AI and machine learning.
At least two or three key leaders from your organization must actively participate in the program. This must include founders, CxOs, or primary technical decision-makers.
We’ll provide equity-free support for the duration of the program. After you graduate, you’ll receive ongoing support through the Google Accelerator Alumni Network.
We’ll provide training tailored to your individual technical and business challenges, and exclusive invitations to tech bootcamps, hosted by Google.
You’ll receive dedicated mentoring from Google teams and AI experts – with tailored support on tech, product, and business.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with Google experts on your biggest tech challenges, engaging with Google DeepMind and Google Research models to build robust AI solutions.
Selected startups or projects may also be eligible to receive cloud credits through the Google for Startups Cloud program or Google Cloud for research, and free Cloud TPUs, subject to eligibility review and approval.
At the end of the program you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your solutions and impact to our network of mentors, investors, partners and Google teams during the Demo Day.
